Reflection of Poster

POSTER- HEART OF DARKNESS

At the end of December, Faiz bin Zakaria and I have presented our poster about a short story entitled ‘The entrusted legacy’ based on the short story Heart of darkness. We have prepared the poster for quiet long which is approximately one month. The jobs were divided among us equally after several discussions have been made. After all the gathering data completed further discussion have been made to finalise what would be present in the poster.

For the poster, we presented it as a picture which had been choose in one of the scene in the story. The picture is 100% drawn and completely with colour painted by using Alpha Water Colour. The poster is little bit unique as the back part can be slides which add an extra description of the short story. It was considered as one of its kind because most of the other group used a same concept for their poster that is open and closed doors poster concept. The colouring process was difficult as it needed a large amount of effort and time. Luckily, both of us manage to complete the picture within our time frame.    

As for the presentation part my partner and I had divide each several parts to be present in our tutorial group conducted by Mr. Roslidin. During the night of the presentation we are required to wear formal attire for the presentation. Our turn was the last to present, the feeling of nervousness overwhelm both of us as we waits for our turn to present. It’s a typical behavioral but with a well preparation and full of confidence any obstacle can be conquer easily thus, this concept also applies for the presentation. In our presentation both of us explained to our group tutorial members regarding the summary for the short story, summary for the scene, symbols the themes and moral values. All goes well as both of us are questioned with a simple question and everybody seems to catch all the information that my and I presented. My opinion for the task that be given is that it very useful and it also gives an early exposure to handle a presentation which in the near future, we will be given with this type of task regularly so it’s important for us to build a  strong foundation in order to success.
