Illiteracy Among The Children Around the Globe

        

                As reported from the University of Sydney, the rate of illiteracy around the world is 49.95% and the question is, what are the causes of illiteracy among the children? Referring to the Oxford's dictionary, illiteracy can be defined as inability of a person in reading, writing or understand what they had learnt. This problem had raised because the children are lack of education, they are facing health problems and they are having family's financial problems.

              The children facing illiteracy problem because they are lack of education. Children who live in the remote areas usually do not know what are happening in other regions because they are only with their own world. There are lack of schools in this rural areas and if there is any, it is very far from their residence. Thus, to make things easier, the parents do not send their children to school because they do not realize how important the education is to their children.

    

              Furthermore, the children are having health problems. The kids are facing an inability to learn well. They cannot learn like a normal children because they are abnormal and sometimes they can learn, but a bit in a slower pace than other children. As a result, mental stress occured to the kids due to the fact that they cannot perform well and they also received lots of pressure from surrounding as well as from people around them. 

              Lastly, illiteracy happened to the children because their family posses a financial problem. Most of the children facing an illiteracy problem come from a poor family. Their family do not own enough money to support their education as they think that the money can be used for other important things to support their life. So, the children put in their mind that education is not very important in their life and this also causes their passion in learning decreased.

             As a conclusion, the illiteracy among the children happen round the world due to many reasons. However, this problem becomes less from time to time as the public awareness about this matter increases. Hoping that this problem can be solved and the world can note a 0% record on illiteracy among the children.
