Heart or Love?
The young man was faced with a life or
death choices. Should the young man follow the princess’s signal or his own
trusted instinct? The ending of the story asked us whether the man will follow
the princess’ signal or not. It can be argued that he will follow the
princess’s signal as she knows which door to take, she loves him and she is
wise person
First, the reasons why the young man
followed the princess’s signal is because he the princess knew which door to
take. As the daughter of a semi-barbaric king, she has the power to know what
is behind doors. This can taken from the short story as the princess signal to
the young man to the door on the right without any hesitation. Because of the
bond, the love between them, they believed in each other.
Secondly, he chose to follow the
princess because the princess loves the young man. She loves him and the young
man loves the princess. They were badly in love with each other. So because of
love, the princess went a great length just to know what is behind the doors.
With love as the limit for both of them, nothing cannot be achieved even when
death is knocking on the door.
Lastly, the reason why the young man
decided to follow the princess’s signal is because the princess is a wise
person. As it wasn’t the princess who was on the trial, she can make the
decisions better than the young man. A princess with an on trial lover will
surely want her lover to be alive rather than dead. With that, she pointed to
the right door amidst the noisy arena.
To conclude, the young man should just
follow the princess as she knows which door to take, she loves him and she is a
wise person altogether.
