                                                 Rubbish dumped in UTP

Tronoh, 21st October – Last Saturday, there was a convocation ceremony held UTP. UTP’s graduates not only from Malaysia, also came from around the globe, was in UTP to attend the convocation ceremony. Besides the convocation ceremony, there was also a carnival or feast been set up.
The carnival or so-called convo fair, is held once a year as a conjunction to the convocation ceremony. As what it called, there are many stalls been set up such as food stall, mainly stalls that sell various type of merchandises. The stalls were rent by the outsiders, clothes vendors, private society like PBSM, schools, and also individuals. It is really a feast. People from around the area also come to the carnival. Approximately, there are about 5000 visitors visited and shopped at the carnival.
A visit to the venue of the carnival, the day after the event, is really an eye sore an frustrating view. The venue is held by the lake and heavily distributed by the rubbish left by the visitors so do by the seller. The venue is fully contaminated with various type of dumped rubbish such as plastic bag, wasted food, and etc. This irresponsible action is truly regretted by the UTP’s management and bring forward to the high-committee of management in UTP to avoid it from happens again in future.
