ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY
Trust Or Instinct?
Based on the story of ‘The Lady Or The
Tiger’, do you think the young man should follow his instinct or the signal
from his lover, the princess? In this case, I think it is better if the young
man follow his lover’s signal rather than his instinct. This is because the
princess might know which one of the right door, she is his lover and she
really wants him to survive.
First of all, the princess may know
better than him which one of the doors is the right one. This is because she
might ask the guard before who is in charge taking care of the doors. From that, the guard can tell
the princess which one is the safest one. Besides, she also has the power as
the princess to order the guard changing the doors. So, I think there is no
better choice for the young man to choose rather than following his lover’s
signal.
Furthermore, the princess is his lover
is one of the main reasons why he should follow his lover’s signal. As his
loyal lover, she will not try to betray him in their love not even once as both
of them want the best for each other even the princess has to sacrifice her
love. It is really ridiculous if one of the lover does not want to help his or
her lover if there is a chance for him or her to do so. So as his partner, the
princess will try her best to help the young man from any problem.
Moreover, the princess really wants to see
him survive in this life. Any lover in this world would never want his or her
partner die in front of him or her . So, it is a same situation in this tale
which the princess does not want her lover, the young man to die in front of
her because of being attacked or eaten by the tiger. Hence, rather than seeing him dead, she will try her best to
help the young man survives during the day of trial.
To summarize all, the young man should follow
his lover’s signal rather than following his instinct. This is because the
princess knows better which one of the right door, the princess is his lover
and she will try his best to help the young man survive in the day of trial.
