Petroleum Geoscience. Your Choice or Not?
A research
was conducted on 19th of November 2012 at 6.30 p.m in Tutorial Room
10, during English I tutorial slot. This research was conducted by a
questionnaire. There were 27 students involved in this research that consists
of 18 males and 9 females. They were from variety of races from all parts of
Malaysia with 1 international student. All of them took Petroleum Geoscience as
their course at Universiti Teknologi Petronas. The question that was asked to
them was ‘Petroleum Geoscience. Your Choice or Not?’ The result was expected as
19 out of 27 or 70.37% answered yes while 5 out of 27 or 18.52% said that it
was not their choice. 3 out of 27 or 11.11% answered as maybe. The answer shows
that a small portion of students maybe was forced to take this course as they
couldn’t get their intended course. A few was undecided on it. This simple yet
effective research showed the willingness of students from Petroleum Geoscience
on their own course.
