Illiteracy among children around the globe
It was shocking when the research
made by California University, shows that around 1.5 billion children were
illiterate worldwide. The area which having most illiterate students is in the
nation having war. These students are illiterate because lack of education,
exposed in war and no place for learning.
The lack of education in children
causes them to be illiterate. In the nation having war, people afraid to go out
of the house. Parents also focus on safety of their family and do not have time
to teach them about education. They will always feel afraid and talk about
safety measures. Some parents join the war thus their children having lack of
education and cause them to be illiterate.
Next, some children were also
exposed in war. In the nation, it is definitely that the children are also
being influence by the surrounding to have hatred with the enemy and they will
join the war. By joining the war, they will always focus on the war and not thinking
of studying or get some knowledge as they think that it is no need for them. They
were being illiterate and they just think it is okay for them because the war
is more important than education.
Moreover, there is no place for the
children to learn in the nation having war also make them to be illiterate. The
nation budget mostly goes to war and some for the treatment or hospital. Thus,
they do not have enough budgets to build a new school that convenient for students
to learn and the teachers to teach. They also think that if they build one, it
going to be destroyed by the enemy because the enemy likes to destroy the place
where many people gather. So, the students do not have any place to learn and
thus make them illiterate.
In conclusion, illiteracy among
students across the globe is caused by the children exposed to war, no place
for them to learn and lack of education. These problems need to be solved
before the number of students being illiterate increases to the level that is
harder to control.
