Ingredients:
Blend together:
15 dried chilies
10 shallots
5 cloves garlic
3 fresh chilies
½ kg yellow mee
¼ kg bean sprouts
¼ kg sawi, cut to 1 inch length
2-3 pieces bean curd, sliced and fried
1 big onion, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon black soya sauce
3 tablespoons oil
Salt to taste
Some water
For garnishing:
1 chili, sliced
Spring onions, chopped
Fried shallots
1 lime
Method:
- Heat oil and fry the blended ingredients for 2 minutes.
- Add the big onion and fry.
- Add the sawi stems, bean curd and tomato. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the yellow mee, bean sprouts and sawi leaves. Stir well.
- Add tomato sauce, black soya sauce, water and salt to taste. Stir well till cooked.
- Dish up and serve hot. Garnish with sliced chili, spring onions and some fried shallots.
- Squeeze in some lime juice (optional).
